I was born in Tehran, Iran and now live in Saint Paul, MN. I studied Graphic Design at the Art Institutes, Twin Cities. The daughter of a painter, I grew up surrounded by paintbrushes and beautiful color. My early Waldorf based education inspired me to fully express my abstract perceptions.
Common themes that manifest in my paintings are quests, transformations, metamorphosis, introspection, delusion, illusion, double entendre, trickster follies and archetypal machinations.

thank you!
Christina I am trying to figure out where I know you from, but I love your style. Very unique and powerful. Thanks for inviting me by the site.
I have taken your quote to heart and life. As of December 7th 2010 I have made the decision to treat my art, my painting like a job. A job that I have always loved but have not really committed to. I now rise in the morning, get ready, then head right into my home studio where, after I write my morning pages, check emails and have breakfast, I work from 9-5 pm. Some days, due to a small outside job, I have to stop earlier.
What a difference it has made! I am having fun!
Thank you for your quote.
Thank you Danette–you’re an inspiration!!
